Porsche has revealed the new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo, promising that the next-generation high-performance sports car is just as powerful as the previous 911 Turbo S version.

A steady favorite amongst Porsche fans for its combination of sports performance and everyday usability, the latest generation 911 Turbo is technically twice as powerful as the original Turbo from 1975, which was powered by a three-liter, single-turbocharged, 260 PS flat-six engine.

Both the Coupe and Cabriolet models are powered by Porche’s twin-turbo, six-cylinder boxer engine, producing 572hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, and can reach 0-62mph/100km/h in 2.8 seconds (0.2 seconds faster than the previous model).

Boasting a top speed of 198mph/ 320km/h, the new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo goes toe-to-toe with the previous 911 Turbo S on acceleration, power output and torque, with much of the improved responsiveness and performance attributed to the VTG turbocharges and a redesigned charge air cooling system, chassis, and body.

Also new to the 911 Turbo model for the first time, is the option to upgrade to a sports exhaust system and choose between two different chassis variants, offering greater custom optimization options for owners.

Additionally, customers can opt for the Lightweight Design package, which reduces the vehicles weight 30kilograms by using lightweight full-bucket seats and removing the rear seats. Customers can also choose the 911 Turbo Sport Design package with styling elements in Black and Carbon and an exclusive tail light design.

When it comes to the interior styling of the new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo, many of the basic elements match those of the 911 Carrera models, such as Porsche’s Advanced Cockpit and Direct Touch Control. Other features include electrically controlled 14-way sports seats, GT sports steering wheel with shift paddles, and BOSE® Surround Sound System.
