An incredible blend of history and technology, Regera will knock down the door of every sense and make you want it to never leave.
The interior features added insulation, 8-way electrically adjustable memory foam seats, a Koenigsegg 9” infotainment system, front – inner and rear camera system with recording capability, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, Apple CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, supreme sound system, ambient lighting and much more. The Regera also comes with remote diagnostic and firmware update capability.
Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are often the first glimpse one gets of a car approaching from a distance. Koenigsegg wanted the Regera to be easily recognized from afar, a desire that led to their Constellation DRL system.
The constellation effect was achieved by scattering LEDs around the lamp cluster – like stars set against a night sky of polished carbon fiber.
Regera has Front and Rear Active wings and also sets the record for the world’s first fully foldable, active, top-mounted rear wing.
Handling options include Koenigsegg Electronic Stability Control (KES) with 3 settings Wet, Normal and Track
The combination of electrical and combustion power is just mind boggling. The heart and soul of every Koenigsegg is its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). Regera follows the path of its siblings, with the proven and extremely reliable dry-sump twin turbo, DOHC, 5.0 liter V8 combined with three electric motors, the system constitutes the most powerful electrical motor set up in production car history, replacing the gears of a normal transmission. When you get up to speed, the system really comes into play. How does 3.2 seconds between 150 to 250 km/h and under 20 Seconds from 0 to 400 km/h seem?
Showcasing a custom designed, tuned titanium exhaust system developed in conjunction with exhaust specialists and partners, Akrapovic. This unique exhaust system includes a fish tail outlet, designed by Christian, a design that has not been seen on production cars for at least half a century – bringing back the sound of performance cars from the past! The fish tail exhaust layout also enables the shortest most optimal routing, giving less weight
and less back pressure.
Christian von Koenigsegg explains, “The idea for the Regera Autoskin came about when Koenigsegg were developing the hydraulics for the rear wing, the ride height control and the lifting system for the front end of the car. As we already had hydraulic pumps, reservoirs and an electronically controlled system in the car we thought why not use this to help automate other parts of the car as well.”

Koenigsegg found thin very light weight hoses that didn’t take much more space than a traditional electrical cable and light weight hydraulic actuators that they could Integrate into the front bonnet, rear bonnet and doors etc. It therefore became a very efficient solution and the total weight of the system swept in under a tiny 5kg. “Its actually nice not to have to touch the car body when its clean” Christian says. All the doors and hoods are activated via buttons on the distinctive car key. There are also built in proximity sensors on the front and on the outside of the doors such that if they encounter any obstacles during operation they will stop. So much so, that you can even stop their operation just by applying your hand against the door.
