Manny Khoshbin Takes Delivery of New Ford GT Heritage Edition
Manny Khoshbin’s new Ford GT Heritage Edition has arrived. The heritage edition is inspired by the winning Ford GT40 MK II at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1966.
Real estate entrepreneur Manny Khoshbin has taken delivery of one of a few limited edition 2021 Ford GT Heritage Editions.
Wearing his appropriately themed Ford GT 98 polo shirt, Manny first had the issue of having to organize his garage to make room for the latest edition before JP Logistics arrived on the scene with his latest delivery.
The Ford GT was first revealed in 2017 as a tribute to Ford’s racing success in the 1960s, and not long after, a limited “Heritage Edition” range was announced that would feature liveries inspired by some of Ford’s most well-known race-winning cars.
Specifically, Manny Khoshbin’s 2021 Ford GT Heritage Edition shares a livery inspired by Ford’s win at the 1966 Daytona 24 Hour Continental Race in the GT40 Mark II. While not Ford’s most well-known success, it was the company’s first-ever 24-hour endurance win and the victory that kicked off Ford’s winning streak, as recalled in the recent Ford v. Ferrari film.
Manny Khoshbin’s Heritage Edition’s exterior color is “Frozen White,” with the hood in exposed carbon fiber and accents in “Race Red.” The “98” gumball on the side door panel also mirrors the numbering of the race-winning GT40 Mark II from over 50 years ago.
Manny also mentions the carbon-fiber wheels were an additional US$30,000, which is part of the Heritage Upgrade package and replaces the gold wheels with carbon-fiber wheels and black brake calipers, along with “ghosted 98 roundels” on the interior door panels.
Deliveries of the 2021 model Ford GT will continue throughout the year, with the Ford GT production set to wrap in 2022.
