Bulgari has released a series of new watches at this year’s LVMH Digital Watch Week 2021 including a new limited edition Octo Roma complication and three new Octo Finissimo editions.
Bulgari’s new releases for LVMH Digital Watch Week 2021 focused on the new Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon complication, which will be limited to 15 pieces worldwide, and three new editions of the super-slim Octo Finissimo watch.
Buglari Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon (Limited Edition)
As the latest watch in Bulgari’s Octo Roma collection, the new Carillon Tourbillon is a “Masterpiece of Sound” and features a three-hammer chime that plays the “Chimes of Westminster” no matter how far away from the Big Ben you may be.
While much smaller than a traditional carillon (a musical instrument consisting of cast bronze bells and usually found in the bell-towers of a church or public building), the musical tones of “Chimes of Westminster” are still clearly and precisely heard thanks to the use of a lightweight black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated titanium case – a material well-suited to chiming timepieces. The Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon has also been designed in a way that amplifies the sound and allows the wearer to observe the movement through the open-worked metallic grille without needing to remove the watch from their wrist.
The Bulgari Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon is limited to 15 pieces worldwide and is priced at USD$259,000 each.
