Production Ready Aston Martin Callum 25 Vanquish Revealed For First Time
Aston Martin’s first designer of the original Aston Martin Vanquish, Ian Callum, returns with a new design known as the “Callum 25 Vanquish” and has revealed the first production-ready design.
It’s not too often that a car designer gets a second chance for a do-over of a design some 20+ years later, but that’s exactly the chance Ian Callum has had with the new Aston Martin Callum 25 Vanquish by R-Reforged, a UK based workshop that often collaborates with Aston Martin Lagonda on various projects.
Having designed the first-generation DB4-inspired V12 Vanquish, Ian had the opportunity to return to the 2001 design and recreate it in collaboration with R-Reforged. The result of which has been revealed today in all of its production-ready glory.
“It’s rare that a designer has the chance to retell the story of one of their own cars. I’ve wanted to do that for some time and with R-Reforged we could do something special,” says Ian Callum CBE, Design Director. “Materials and technologies have advanced, allowing us to introduce these along with new ideas that weren’t feasible when the car was launched.”
The new Callum Vanquish 25 has been given a make-over, starting with redesigned bumpers, more carbon fiber elements, improved steering, larger wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and Aston Martin carbon-ceramic brakes and an upgraded V12 engine.
Likewise, the interior has also received a modern update with new tartan and leather interior, ergonomic seating, Apple CarPlay/Android multimedia system, special Mulberry luggage, and a specialized removable pocket watch from Bremont.
The Aston Martin Callum 25 Vanquish will be limited to 25 vehicles and can either be completed on a customer’s existing vehicle or through a sourced vehicle from Callum/R-Reforged.
