RIMOWA Introduces Limited Edition Metallic Watch Case
RIMOWA fans with a love for watches now have extra cause for celebration. You can now get your favorite grooved aluminum case in a size worthy of your three best timepieces.
Founded in 1898 in Cologne Germany, Rimowa has long been creating luxury travel luggage and in 2016 was acquired by the LVMH group with billionaire Bernard Arnault’s 24 year old son becoming CEO and taking the helm in 2017.
Already a staple amongst the most fashionable of jet setters, Alexandre Arnault has continued to develop the brand while under his watch and in recent years overseen collaborations with brands like Supreme, Fendi, Off-White, and Moncler. There’s no doubt this new limited edition watch case will find it’s way into that very same luggage or another collaboration of the same caliber.
Designed in Germany and made in Italy, RIMOWA’s new limited edition watch case has been two years in development and is said to be an “ode to the brand’s storied heritage and mastery of its craft.”
Featuring RIMOWA’s instantly recognizable grooved aluminum exterior shell, the limited edition watch case can easily accommodate up to three wristwatches and seamlessly glides open from either end to reveal a microfiber interior and three removable padded cushions.
An additional top cushioned microfiber layer is also included to ensure the watch faces are protected in transit and at home.
With a simple and minimalistic appearance, the Rimowa Watch Case is as practical as it is aesthetically pleasing and can easily be thrown into a carry-on case, overnight bag, or, stating the obvious, a Rimowa suitcase.
The Rimowa Watch Case is priced at USD$2,050 and is available online for pre-order from 10 November and available for retail from December.
