Rossinavi’s Hat Trick: Three Superyachts by Five International Design Studios

Three Rossinavi superyacht projects, each by unique design studios, are all running alongside each other for a 2020 delivery. We take a look at what they are and ask, which one is for you?

Viareggio-based Rossinavi has wasted no time over the years, collaborating and drawing on the talent of prominent international design studios. Throughout 2020, Rossini will deliver three separate superyacht projects to their owners, with each having been uniquely worked on by different designers.

In conjunction with owner’s desires, each and every designer brings its own flair and inspiration to a project. It’s no surprise then that three superyachts all closely within the 50m/164’ length could all finish completely distinct, and individually unique.

After two years under construction, the 50m M/Y LeL (previously seen on concepts as ellelle and FR038) has just been delivered by Rossinavi. She was commissioned by a private client who requested as many spacious and comfortable living areas as possible on board. Luca Dini Design, contracted to shape the interior and exterior, has balanced a sporty and traditional Italian yacht design with interior spaces common to new-generation vessels created for entertaining.

Her styling is characterised by a plumb bow and high gunwales. Full-height windows span the length of the main deck and upper deck, providing guests with excellent views of the surroundings even while lounging or dining indoors. LeL’s competitive advantage is enhanced from the generously sized main common areas, making her stand out in the segment of mega yachts with a similar gross tonnage.

As well as having the fastest top speed and cruising speeds of the three yachts, the crisp sharp lines and simplicity of M/Y LeL will definitely give her a commanding presence on the water.

With an expected spring 2020 delivery, this yacht is a fusion of Rossinavi know-how, Italian design plus technological and mechanical components from the United States. Enrico Gobbi’s Team For Design was tasked with shaping the exterior and interior of Vector 50. Since the vessel will spend most of its time in US and Caribbean territory, the vessels electrical system has been made US standard. Vector 50 has also been designed with a shallow draft specifically for cruising clear blue Caribbean waters.

The attention to US standards is also applied to its ergonomic function and elegant interiors, a response to the clients’ desire and the growing interest in Rossinavi from the American market. 12 guests can be accommodated across six cabins with Vector 50 sporting a forward facing master suite with an intimate private terrace on the starboard side. Vector 50 sits in the middle of all three superyachts in regards to speed and range.

Before embarking on the 70m M/Y King Shark (due 2021), Florentia was the project that had Rossinavi back to building a boat over 52 meters with more than 500GT. With a steel hull and aluminum superstructure designed by Studio Vafiadis, Florentia is positioned in a market niche for people who appreciate a yacht with balanced lines and a great attitude to traditional boating. The design of Florentia is intended to be timeless with fluid and elegant exterior lines.

Rossinavi states, “The aim of our design is to create a new milestone in the yachting industry, an elegant beauty that will never get old and satisfy all of her owner’s dreams.”

Florentia’s interior has been the result of a collaboration between Carlo Colombo and A++ Design Studio. An early description of Florentia mentioned a staircase, set to be the sculptural heart of the boat, and a mirrored ring placed in the center of the master suit to bring reflections of the sea inside the room. Florentia has enough living space to accommodate up to 12 guests overnight and 12 crew members.
