As the current President of the Analog, MEMS (Micro-Electromechanical Systems) and Sensors Group division of STMicroelectronics, Vigna is an Italian national with extensive experience working with some of the world’s leading international technology companies.
Having graduated with a physics degree from the University of Pisa, Vigna joined STMicroelectronics in 1995, where he founded the company’s MEMS operations and was responsible for motion-activated user interfaces, connectivity, imaging, and power solutions, with a focus on the industrial and automotive market segments.
With Ferrari now looking to move towards an electric future for the brand, Ferrari has strategically employed Benedetto Vigna for his unique knowledge gained over 26 years working at the heart of the semiconductor industry with the hope of accelerating Ferrari’s next-generation technologies in the rapidly transforming the automotive sector.
