H. Moser & Cie introduces the $100,000 Heritage Perpetual Calendar Midnight Blue as the latest limited edition Heritage Collection timepiece.
The new H. Moser & Cie Heritage Perpetual Calendar Midnight Blue Enamel timepiece joins the Heritage Centre Seconds and Heritage Tourbillon as the third watch in the Heritage Collection, a line that aims to the past and present can coexist together in watchmaking.
Paying tribute to its perpetual calendar wristwatches conceived by Heinrich Moser in the early 1920s, the Heritage timepieces combine classic elements like the rounded case inspired by pocket watches from a bygone era with modern “know-how” as demonstrated in Moser’s modern fumé dials and high-end movements.
Encased in a 42mm white gold round case with blue “cloisonné” enameling, guilloche engraving, the new timepiece also introduces a new shade of Grand Feu enamel fumé dial – Midnight Blue – and is complemented by elegant Roman numerals in white, swallow-tail hands, and a fine line railroad minute track encircling the dial.
Rather than crowd the dial with windows, the H. Moser & Cie Heritage Perpetual Calendar uses a small arrow and the 12 indices to represent the month. Additionally, the Perpetual Calendar can be adjusted forwards or backward at any time of the day without risk to the movement. Thanks to the “Flash Calendar” system, the date changes instantaneously at midnight (taking into account months with 30 or 31 days and leap years).
Turning the watch over, H. Moser & Cie’s hand-wound HMC 800 movement is visible through the sapphire case-back and provides a guaranteed power reserve of 7 days, and is water-resistant to 3ATM.
The H. Moser & Cie Heritage Perpetual Calendar Midnight Blue Enamel is limited to 20 pieces, priced at USD$110,000 and available from www.h-moser.com.
