‘Centodieci’: Leaked pics of the new Bugatti EB110 SS hommage
One day ahead of the official unveiling, pictures have been leaked of Bugatti’s new car, the Centodieci.
The newest Bugatti, the Centodieci, that will be officially revealed tomorrow at the Quail in Pebble Beach, was leaked online earlier than planned. Centodieci means 110 in Italian and initial information suggests the underlying chassis is based on the Bugatti Chiron with external styling inspired by, and paying hommage to, the early 1990’s Bugatti EB110 Super Sports car. This year also marks the 110th anniversary of Bugatti’s foundation.
Reports have indicated that production of the Bugatti Centodieci could be capped at 10 units worldwide with each starting at approximately $8.9 million. The car’s Chiron underpinnings mean it could have an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that may pump out the same 1479 hp and 1180 lb-ft (1600 Nm) of torque, allowing it to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in approximately 2.4 seconds and continue through to a 261 mph (420 km/h) top speed.
However, we will have to wait till tomorrow for all the accurate details and juicy hi-res pics. In the words of Bugatti, “The media wanted to get an early scoop with BUGATTI! We have a lot we want to say about our latest addition so we invite you to join our live stream of the official press conference at The Quail Motorsports Gathering at 11:20am PCT August 16.
