Dutch shipyard Feadship has revealed their latest project created in collaboration with Nauta Design – the family-focused 236ft “Project 2024” superyacht concept that could effectively be delivered by Summer 2024 to a quick decision-making owner.

Renowned for creating highly customized superyachts that allow clients a blank canvas design experience, Feadship has taken a slightly different approach with Project 2024, which was born out of a conversation between the teams at Feadship and Nauta Design.

While working on another project, the two teams recognized that certain clients desired a highly bespoke vessel to enjoy time with their friends and family out on the water but were either inexperienced regarding the technical aspects of new builds or wanted to bypass the early developmental stages of new builds entirely.

Enlisting the help of Feadship’s in-house naval architecture team De Voogt, the three groups collaborated for several months to create a family-friendly design that incorporated the most advanced technologies, design materials, and environmentally-friendly features they were seeing demanded by the market.

“We tried to create a platform for clients to spend high-quality time with their families,” says Jan-Bart Verkuyl, Feadship CEO. “The result is a family-oriented yacht which is 70 meters and features all the design trends.”

With the engineering and naval architecture completed in advance, it now means Project E2024 can move quickly from initial client consultations to the build stage at Feadship’s shipyard on Kaag Island, where work can begin on the fully Tier III compliant steel-hulled and aluminum superstructure.

Designed to accommodate twelve guests in total, Feadship has envisioned Project 2024 to feature a super-spacious Owner’s Stateroom, with an additional VIP suite and four guest suites, although are quick to note the sketches are offered only for inspiration and owners will still have the ability to customize as they like.

Upon the main deck of Project 2024, the focus is on creating a social hub where friends and family can move seamlessly between the large main deck aft and the lounge and dining areas of the main saloon. A deliberate absence of pillars and the use of full-height windows provide guests with incredible 270-degree views.

In one particular configuration, Feadship has imagined an Owners Stateroom spanning the entire beam at the forward of the main deck. Designed by Nauta with delicate fabrics and laminated surfaces for a light and transparent feel, the Owner’s Stateroom creates a large living space for the owner with private lounge areas, his & hers walk-in wardrobes, and ensuite.

From the Owners Stateroom, owners can access the bridge deck of Project 2024 via a set of elegant stairs that lead to a pool area surrounded by sunbeds. Situated away from the public eye, especially when at anchor, the bridge deck can be used as a private area for the owners or as an entertaining area for family & friends to mix and mingle in connection with the adjoining sky lounge.

At the furthest part of the upper deck, a special area has been dedicated for a touch and go helipad. However, this can easily be reconfigured for owners that do not intend to operate a helicopter from this part of the yacht.

Moving up to the sun deck of Project 2024, Feadship has included no less than three distinct relaxation zones for guests to enjoy. At the front of the yacht, a private Jacuzzi and sunbathing area offer sun-loving guests the ultimate vantage point to see the passing sights, while a central dining area for 12 guests is fully sheltered with transparent windbreaker panels when the weather conditions are less than favorable.

At the aft of the sun deck of Project 2024 are further lounging areas and a fully stocked bar and service area.

While the sun deck Jacuzzi may be the ultimate luxury for some, guests wanting to be closer to the water’s edge can make their way down the double set of sloping stairs leading towards the beach club on the lower deck.

Taking care to plan for many different family scenarios, nearby shaded seating areas ensure young children can enjoy the 10ft swimming pool under the watchful eye of adults nearby. Adding to the spacious feeling of the beach club, additional foldout side wings increase the platform surface area by 80% for the ultimate water-front playground.

Essentially Project 2024 finds the balance between function and style and is a fast-tracked answer for owners looking to get out on the water in a Feadship of their own by the Summer of 2024.
