Powered by the most powerful combustion engine of Ferrari’s road vehicles, the un-named model has been described by Ferrari as the “ultimate expression of Ferrari DNA” and promises to hone the characteristics of the 812 Superfast to a level never seen before.

Although most technical details are still under wraps, it has been revealed the rev limit will be increased from 8900rpm to 9500rpm – making it the highest-revving production engine to date.

The new limited edition V12 will be Ferrari’s concept of an extreme front-engined Berlinetta and encapsulates over seven decades of the company’s sports car history to marry form, function, and performance in a way that delivers an unprecedented driving experience in the V12 segment.

Altered design details reveal a new full-body aluminum panel with “vortex generators” in place of the rear glass (weight-saving) and a unique rectangular exhaust pipe.

It has also been revealed the overall weight of the car has been heavily reduced through the extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the exterior and cockpit, and in-depth aerodynamic research has been undertaken, resulting in an alteration of the car’s lines to maximize downforce.

Ferrari fans will still have to wait until the official reveal on May 5, 2021 to learn the name of the new model as well as the complete run-through on pricing and availability, but given it’s a limited edition, production numbers will no doubt be kept low to ensure it holds its own amongst the Ferrari line-up.
