Heesen Reveals Interior of 164ft Project Altea Scheduled for Delivery Next Year
Heesen reveals the interior of Project Altea YN19550, the Dutch shipyards latest 5000 Aluminium yacht set to be delivered next year.
Heesen has given a glimpse into what the interior of the new Project Altea looks like and there are no qualms here.
The 164ft aluminum superyacht follows on from the 2017 “Home” and 2020 Project Electra” and is built on the Nova Plus design and engineering platform, a fast-displacement design that allows superyacht builders to stay below the 500-gross-tonne interior volume limit and avoid extra certification required for larger superyachts.
Like Home, the exterior design has once again been left in the capable hands of Frank Laupman of Omega Architects and features a profile with a long waterline and large floor-to-ceiling windows to create spacious light-filled living areas.
Italian interior designer Cristiano Gatto has once again been engaged to deliver a contemporary interior design for Project Altea and has chosen to use materials like stained Canaletto and American walnut wood veneers for the flooring and joinery while selecting textured leathers and using luxurious carpets to create an opulent and warm feel throughout the yacht.
Bespoke soft furnishings have also been created by Cristiano Gatto and his team and feature elements of silk, velvet, and leather for an elegant yet contrasting finish that will be found throughout the master suite and 5 guest staterooms onboard.
There is one notable technical upgrade to Altea that Home does not share and that is its engines. This time two MTU 12V 2000 diesel engines are set to power Altea, making it one of the fastest and most economical superyachts in her class.
Heesen’s Project Altea is currently on schedule and will be available for delivery in Spring 2021.
