Porsche Reveals 911 GT3 70 Australia Edition

The new Porsche 911 GT3 70 Years Australia Edition celebrates the anniversary of Porsche’s entry into the Australian market some 70 years ago.

Porsche has announced a special edition 911 GT3 “70 Years Anniversary Australia Edition” to celebrate its entry into the Australian market some 70 years ago.

Based on the newly revealed 911 GT3 with Touring Package (992), the 911 GT3 Australian Edition is Porsche’s first-ever market-specific edition of the 911 GT and its first edition created especially for Australia.

Designed by Porsche Australia in collaboration with experts from the Style Porsche design team and the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur customization department, the special edition is limited in number and features special Australian flag badging and a new exterior color known as “Fish Silver Grey Metallic” – a modern interpretation of the first two “Fish Silver Grey” Porsche 356’s imported into Australia in 1951.

“Exclusivity and customisation have been synonymous with Porsche for decades,” said Sam Curtis, Managing Director and CEO, Porsche Cars Australia. “It is fitting that this special edition features exclusive elements that link back to one of the two first Porsche sportscars imported to Australia by Norman Hamilton 70 years ago.”

Other “Australian Edition” specific features include a new non-black interior with Graphite Blue leather and “Madraskaro” checkered seats, headrests with an embossed “70”, treadplates engraved with “GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition” and Australian flag badging on the B-pillar.

Powered by Porsche’s 4.0-liter flat-six engine, the new 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition can generate 375kW and 470Nm of torque and is available in either six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition features a comprehensive list of additional and unique specifications over and above the 911 GT3 with Touring Package:
