Zenvo display carbon fiber loaded €1.45 million TSR-S hypercar at private event in Denmark following the cancellation of the Geneva Motor Show.

Originally intended to be shown at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show, the commissioned Zenvo TSR-S was instead revealed at a private event at the Danish hypercar company headquarters in Præstø, Denmark.

Announced as Zenvo’s flagship model, the 1177bhp twin-turbo supercharged V8 hypercar is the street legal version of the track oriented TSR model and can hit 0-60mph (100km/h) in 2.8 seconds, reach 0-124mph (200km/h) in 6.8 seconds and a reach a top speed of 202mph/325kmh.

The lightweight exposed carbon fiber hyper-machine is made using Zenvo’s own carbon fiber technology, allowing technicians to customize the geometric patterned carbon fiber and personalize the weave patterns as per clients requests.

Also benefitting from the carbon fiber technology is the new TSR-S wheels which are created using hand-cut carbon fiber. Each wheel takes two technicians approximately one week to create and aids in cutting 15kgs off the total weight of the car (for all 4 wheels).

Zenvo TSR-S owners will also discover a new hybrid gearbox “which yields a power boost, further traction control and even the addition of an eighth forward gear with the electric motor providing reverse drive”, offering two modes  – Road and Race.

Engaged via switchgear on the steering wheel, in “Road” mode, gear changes are electronically assisted to smooth transitions while in “Race” mode, direct mechanical gear changes afford drivers the same exceptionally fast responses as a fully fledged race car.

Fans of Zenvo’s signature Centripedal rear wing will be pleased to know it still takes pride of place on the latest customised TRS-S although bystanders witnessing the rear wing in action for the first time could be forgiven for thinking the lightweight carbon fibre has an unruly mind of its own. In reality, the aerodynamic wing is reacting to steering data and creating high levels of downforce while cornering.

For those interested, the Zenvo TSR-S priced at €1.45 million and with only 5 cars per year being hand built at their factory in Præstø, Denmark, you can be sure it really is a “limited edition” kind of hypercar.
