Ferretti Launches Its Largest Yacht To Date: The Flagship Ferretti 1000
Ferretti Yachts has launched its largest yacht to date, the flagship Ferretti 1000, at its shipyard in Cattolica, Italy.
Ferretti Yachts has launched its first Ferretti 1000 flagship model from its shipyard in Cattolica ahead of its delivery to its French owner.
At 100 feet, the new Ferretti 1000 is both the Italian shipyard’s largest yacht built to date and its first 100% wide-body vessel, representing over 40,000 hours of concept development, 4,250 hours of naval design, and 9,650 hours of mold prototyping.
Designed by Ferretti’s Product Strategy Committee in collaboration with architect Filippo Salvetti for exterior design and Ideaitalia for interior design, the yacht is a floating home with a strong focus on “Made in Italy” craftsmanship throughout the vessel.
“The new flagship is an exciting choral work permeated by the flair, vision, and passion of so many skilled and talented people who represent the winning factor for Ferretti Yachts. To them all I’d like to offer my heartfelt thanks for how they have completed an extraordinary project like Ferretti Yachts 1000 in such a complicated year,” shared Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.
Featuring a sporty outline and lateral glass structures throughout, the Ferretti 1000 is also the company’s first-ever vessel to include substantial carbon use throughout the superstructure and hardtop.
“Ferretti Yachts 1000 is the brand’s flagship and it heralds a new style based on even more simple and clean-cut forms,” explains exterior designer Filippo Salvetti. “They give the yacht a strong, spontaneous and graceful appearance with an extremely fresh and vibrant silhouette. The new concept for onboard flows that has been introduced here is set to become an iconic part of all of the large vessels in the range. Designed with the future in mind, this new creation takes things to the next level for faithful Ferretti Yachts customers.”
The launch of this Ferretti 1000 is the first of three vessels already on order, with Ferretti expecting continued demand for their largest yacht to date.
