H.Moser & Cie’s latest release is one of the Swiss brands more sportier designs and is the second model in the Streamliner range, a watch inspired by the rounded curves of the old American steel locomotives of the 1920s and ’30s.

Following on from the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph launched earlier this year in January, the new Streamliner Centre Seconds model shares the same cushion-shaped case and integrated stainless steel bracelet, but this time has been released as a centre seconds edition.

Designed as a central element of the Streamliner’s visual identity, the sporty stainless steel bracelet design was a high priority for award-winning watch designer Marcus Eilinger who worked with the watchmakers at H.Moser & Cie to create the original Streamliner. The result is a series of elegantly wave-shaped articulating links that have been satin-brushed and blend the 40mm case and bracelet together effortlessly.

The Streamliner Centre Seconds model also marks the introduction of a brand new fumé dial color for H.Moser & Cie, known as “Matrix Green.” A signature look for H.Moser & Cie, the smokey sunburst look dial creates a playful, colorful contrast and is complemented by the slimline Super-LumiNova® hours and minutes hands.

“The idea came from my predecessors who were looking in the archives of the company for inspiration for a new dial to launch the perpetual calendar in palladium,” says CEO Edouard Meylan. “They found these old fumé dials which were quite trendy more than half a century ago. Unfortunately, no one knew how to produce them anymore, so they had to develop new machines and learn again how to create the fumé effect. It took a while to achieve, but the result was stunning.”

Powered by the HMC 200 self-winding caliber, a movement entirely designed, developed and produced in-house, the Streamliner Centre Seconds has a power reserve of 3 days and is water-resistant to 12 ATM for the adventurous looking to take it below the waves.
