Lando Norris Takes the 2021 McLaren Elva Out for a Ride at Silverstone Circuit

Watch Formula One driver Lando Norris test drive the 2021 McLaren Elva for the first time at Silverstone Circuit (and forget most of his script).

McLaren and 20-year-old Belgian-British Formula One driver Lando Norris are a marketing match made in heaven, and to be honest, we’re not even mad about it.

Introducing Lando Norris to the 2021 McLaren Elva up close for the first time, McLaren upped the ante and asked him to record script all the whilst driving around the track. The result is amusing as much as it is enjoyable seeing the Formula One driver give the McLaren Elva a good run around the iconic Silverstone circuit.

Tasked with recording lines like “powered by an 850 PS four-liter twin-turbocharged V8, the Elva is the ultimate roadster and the lightest road car McLaren has ever made capable of reaching 200 kilometers per hour from a standing start in just 6.7 seconds”.

Instead best Lando Norris could muster while hurtling around the track were lines like:

“A deployable bit of carbon fiber.”

“This is just a McLaren Elva, and it doesn’t have a windshield, and the air goes over me.”

“Four liter, twin-turbocharged McLaren Elvis…”

Not exactly the most slickest and technically correct McLaren presentation you’ll ever see and yet that’s the beauty of it. It’s not every day that a brand as big as Mclaren is willing to have a little fun and we’re just glad Lando Norris was up for the challenge.
