Audemars Piguet Titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar x @Horoloupe Collab Revealed
Just in time for Chinese New Year, Audemars Piguet has revealed the limited edition Titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch.
Limited to only 88 pieces, the Titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch is the latest country-specific edition and will only be available in China and Hong Kong boutiques.
Created in collaboration with the well respected watch collector @Horoloupe (Instagram) aka Austen Chu, an avid long time collector and supporter of the Audemars Piguet brand, it is the first fully titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar and features a 41mm case with titanium bracelet. It also comes with a red rubber strap and grey alligator strap so you have choices in case the full titanium look isn’t working for you.
The watch’s functions include a perpetual calendar with week indication, day, date, moonphase, month, leap year, hours and minutes, on a slate-grey Grande Tapisserie dial with black subdials.
Understandably honored to work with Audemars Piguet on this edition, Chu states “this watch embodies both tradition and modernity, prospering in tandem with craftsmanship. We chose to contrast the gunmetal titanium with the dark-red week indicator with matching straps, incorporating my Chinese heritage into the piece. Being able to collaborate with AP is a truly fun and eye opening experience.”
Each limited edition is priced at approx. US$78,300, except for the first piece of the collection having already been auctioned for charity and raising CHF300,000 (approx USD $310,000) towards environmental relief in China.
