Bentley’s latest edition of the Continental GT Speed is the ultimate performance-focused version of the Grand Tourer and the most dynamic road car in Bentley’s history.
Powered by Bentley’s 6.0-liter W12 engine, the 2022 Continental GT Speed delivers 650 bhp (a 4% increase on the current W12 engine) and 664lb-ft of torque to achieve 0-60mph (335km/h) in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h).
“The new Continental GT Speed represents the very pinnacle of performance grand touring,” says Dr. Matthias Rabe, Member of the Board for Engineering at Bentley Motors. “The world’s most luxurious Grand Tourer is now truly more capable than ever before, with a new sportier edge which will appeal to performance-focused drivers.”
The third-generation GT Speed model sees the engine and transmission calibrated to deliver a driver-focused experience. This is demonstrated by the SPORT mode that keeps the engine in the powerband longer by up-shifting later or downshifting earlier and creating a heightened response from the driver’s throttle inputs. The dual-clutch, eight-speed transmission shift is also twice as fast in SPORT mode than the standard W12 model.
Additional updates like Electronic All-Wheel Steering work to enhance the vehicle’s agility while the use of electronic rear differential (eLSD) – for the first time in a Bentley – improves stability and the new Carbon Ceramic brake system increases stopping power.
The new 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed has also been given a styling update with a new Dark Tint radiator and lower bumper grille and 22″ Speed-exclusive wheels available in a black gloss or dark tint finish for the exterior.
Meanwhile, the interior still features Bentley’s iconic Rotating Display with Speed details, including embroidered headrests, two-tone upholstery options in Alcantara and leather, and premium Diamond quilting as standard features.
