Tennis player Rafael Nadal has officially taken delivery of his new Sunreef 80 Power Yacht in his hometown of Mallorca after it was launched at the Sunreef Shipyard in Poland last month.

Having enjoyed yachting since childhood and previously chartered a Sunreef catamaran prior to the purchase of his own, the professional tennis player commissioned the build of the Sunreef 80 Power yacht after meeting the founder of Sunreef at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival. The purchase of his own Sunreef yacht created the opportunity for his family to continue enjoying holidays on the water while infusing their own style and flair into the build.

Sharing on the experience of delivering the yacht, President and Founder of Sunreef Yachts Francis Lapp said, “This is an unforgettable event for our shipyard to hand over the yacht to such an amazing person and athlete as Rafael Nadal. My team in Gdańsk made every effort to create the yacht Rafa and his wife Maria dreamed of. I am convinced that they will have a great time with their friends and family on board.”

The Sunreef 80 Power yacht is an ultramodern catamaran featuring over 360m2 of living area spread across the two hulls of the boat and has been created for long-distance offshore cruising in comfort.

The interior of Nadal’s catamaran features shades of beige, cream and coffee throughout with all aspects of the interior have been fully personalized, including an expansive main deck saloon that opens directly onto the front terrace, an owner’s suite with a private side opening balcony and guest suites with their own ensuite bathrooms.

Other notable features of the yacht include a flybridge with a wet bar & BBQ for entertaining, a separate relaxation area, and plenty of room for a jet ski for when guests want to take to the water.

Isaac Burrough Design ‘Kiwa’ Yacht Takes Power From the Sky to Give to the Ocean

Isaac Burrough’s 110-meter hybrid-powered explorer yacht concept ‘Kiwa’ reimagines sustainable seafaring.

Conceptualized by Kiwi-born, Isaac Burrough, who now works from his design studio in Amsterdam, Kiwa is a giant 110m hybrid yacht concept that is designed to be a gentle giant by being friendly to the environment it exists in.

Isaac Burrough has cleverly incorporated well over 2000 square feet of solar panels, which feed power soaked from the sun into the yacht’s electrical system, offsetting the crew’s daily power usage and hotel load.

Kiwa’s hybrid propulsion system would drive a sleek low volume to length hull through the water, which would be a double-edged sword against fuel consumption. The smart low volume to length ratio design not only maximizes energy-efficiency for today’s technology, but also compliments any future tech advancements as well, such as solar and battery developments.

Additional benefits of a hybrid propulsion system would see owners and guests being able to enjoy the Electric-Only mode to enter remote zones without pollution or to enjoy al fresco dining without any background generator noise.

Outdoor living is encouraged with expansive deck areas and 175 square meters of storage space for Kiwa’s 4 tenders and an array of toys.

A helicopter landing pad is featured at the bow, where the deck can extend on each side to satisfy certification for the larger rotor dimensions of helicopters such as an Airbus H145 (a.k.a. Eurocopter EC145).

The large main deck is versatile, with sliding doors and diverse lounge areas that create private sanctuaries in shade or sun for up to 14 guests. The elegant terracing to the swim platform is designed to evoke the feeling of a beach sloping toward the sea.

Above the swim platform, a glass-bottom pool is cantilevered off the main deck and, on the lower deck, in-built sun pads are partially covered by the blue rays emitting from the glass. The sun pads look out to an uninterrupted aft view while, upstairs, the sun deck boasts a jacuzzi with an elevated panoramic view.

But the best view on board can be found in the spa area where semi-submerged pools allow guests to enjoy scenery both above and below the water surface.

Isaac Burrough commenting on his design, remarked, “The intention for Kiwa was to design a yacht that is both modern and elegant. Her sleek silhouette combined with curvaceous surfaces give grace despite her exploration capabilities. A yacht that will look sophisticated whether cruising the Mediterranean or the Arctic.”

The Tankoa Yachts T450 Is Their First Superyacht Under 50m

Tankoa Yachts unveils the new T450: A 45 metre yacht that keeps the character of their much larger vessels.

  • 6 full-size cabins
  • Steel and aluminium construction
  • Hybrid propulsion option
  • Ample opportunity for customization
  • Comprehensive tech specs
  • Design by Giorgio M. Cassetta

Tankoa Yachts has just announced it is extending its superyacht range into a more compact 45 metre range beginning with the T450 range. This will be the first time Tankoa has produced a superyacht under 50m. Tankoa assures that the smaller vessel of just over 400GT will be produced in keeping with the brand’s hard-earned reputation for quality and comfort combined with innovation and elegance

“Building on the extraordinary success of our 50m platform with Bintador and Vertige already delivered and two more in build, the T450 confirms Tankoa’s drive to build yachts below 500GT that are designed with a big boat mentality and quality” says Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa Sales Manager. “This new 45m model has been designed to provide maximum flexibility, and in terms of interior and exterior space it feels like a much larger vessel.”

Unusually for a 45m superyacht of 405GT, the T450 can accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins. This accommodation comprises a full-beam owner’s stateroom and a VIP suite on the main deck forward as well as four en-suite cabins on the lower deck.

An open-plan dining room/main salon with full-height glazing overlooks the sweeping, open aft deck, which recalls the design of some super sailing yachts. This huge terraced area functions as an open-air beach club with a glass-fronted pool at its centre flanked by staircases down to the water-level swim platform. But the flexible design provides alternative layout solutions, such as aft-facing seating on the lower level and a large bar unit on the upper level.

The spacious sundeck offers the option of another pool, sunbeds, shaded dining area, a forward bar with sofa seating and a dayhead.

The bridge deck offers more al fresco dining for a full complement of guests and a sky lounge that can function as a media room. There is another generous lounging/social area on the open foredeck in front of the wheelhouse, where the guest tender and rescue render are stowed.

In addition to the guest cabins on the lower deck, there is a large lazarette in the stern, the galley and crew dinette, extra cold storage, laundry, and accommodation for 8 crew members plus the captain on the bridge deck with direct access to the wheelhouse.

The T450 can be fitted with hybrid propulsion to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, as well as reducing noise and vibration to a minimum.

Tankoa T450 Specifications:

  • Length overall                                45m

Presented by The Italian Sea Group, the “Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63” has been inspired by the hybrid Lamborghini Siàn FKP 37 and references the year of Lamborghini’s beginnings – 1963.

As a new super sport motor yacht that blends the best of the nautical and sports car worlds, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63″ bears the same Lamborghini style steering wheel with its iconic fighter jet style “start” button, and a signature Lamborghini “racing style” seat for the captain.

The project initially started as a joint design analysis between Tecnomar and the Lamborghini Style Center, to interpret common traits and blend the DNA of the two brands into an ultra-luxury sports yacht.

Sporting two MAN V12-2000HP engines for a total 4000CV, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 motor yacht can reach 60 knots of speed and will be the fastest boat in the Tecnomar fleet of The Italian Sea Group. The unmistakable signature Lamborghini fighter pilot styled “start & stop” button will also be present on the yacht in two units, one per engine.

The “Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63” yacht is available in three main variants:

LOUNGE VERSION: The open space is the concept, functional and essential, with a fully equipped kitchen, headboard for guests and closet, a large open space with lounge sofas and wardrobe. Last but not least the owner’s private bathroom to always have your privacy.

1 CABIN VERSION: Maintaining the design and style of the lounge version, the kitchen is divided from the bow area, thus obtaining a king size bed from the sofa. The bow cabin is therefore equipped with large spaces and a dedicated owner bathroom.

2 CABIN VERSION: The new ideal solution to optimize space and have the best of comfort, Two independent cabins. The owner cabin with its king size maintains comfort levels worthy of a super luxury hotel. The guest cabin was created to accommodate a couple of friends or two children thanks to the possibility of having two separate singles that can be joined together in a large king size. The shared bathroom has significant spaces with ample storage and a dream shower.

Sharing on the collaboration, Giovanni Constantino CEO of The Italian Sea Group said, “In May we announced that we had signed the agreement with Automobili Lamborghini and today we are presenting Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, a motor yacht that I am sure will become a futuristic icon like the car that inspired it. Select owners around the world will own not only the fastest Tecnomar motor yacht in the fleet, but a unique Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63. I am proud to have (been) chosen to create this innovative and challenging project with Automobili Lamborghini that combines technology, excellence in design, quality and performance and that will give us great satisfaction “.

“This yacht best represents what it means for us to create a quality partnership,” said Katia Bassi, Marketing and Communication Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. “The essence of all our collaborations consists in transferring our style and our experience in worlds that despite their diversity, have (something) in common with our traits so that they can be interpreted to add value. If I had had to imagine a Lamborghini on the water, this would have been my vision. I am therefore happy to celebrate this success today”.

Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is not merely an exercise in style and design, but represents the vanguard of luxury speed boats. Inspired by Lamborghini super sports cars’ performance, two of the most innovative elements are at the core of its design concept – speed and dynamic lightness.

Like their supercar siblings, the motor yachts will feature extensive use of carbon fiber, guaranteeing an ultralight boat classification with a maximum weight of 24 tons for 63 feet in length and is the fastest Tecnomar performance yacht to date. Looking inside the Tecnomar by Lamborghini will feature two bedrooms and a bathroom all of which are 100% customizable to an owner’s tastes through the Lamborghini Ad Personam program.

Customers who wish to use the Ad Personam Program can configure their yacht directly by contacting the commercial department of The Italian Sea Group at the following email address: sales@tecnomar63.com

With the support of their team of experts, it is possible to follow all the stages of the project starting from defining the colors, materials, to the production status of your super sports yacht.

Tecnomar is currently taking orders with deliveries set to begin from next year.
